The focus of Bioinformatics Australia 2006 is to showcase Australian bioinformatics and to provide a forum for the development of the Australian Bioinformatics Network.

The inaugural Bioinformatics Australia conference will be held concurrently and share events, exhibition and networking space with the AusBiotech 2006 National Conference.

In addition to the scientific content, the meeting will provide networking opportunities with bioinformatics and biotechnology stakeholders in Australia for students, users and developers of bioinformatics resources as well as ICT and life scientists interested in bioinformatics.

The conference will include scientific sessions and discussion forums on the Australian Bioinformatics Network and the NSW Bioinformatics Consortium.
