Call for abstracts

Call for abstracts:

Participants are invited to submit original abstracts for oral and poster presentations

Submission topics for oral presentations are sought for the following four sessions:

  1. Comparative Genomics and Evolution
  2. Proteomics and Structural Bioinformatics
  3. Gene Expression and Systems Biology
  4. Medical and Agricultural Applications

Submissions for Poster presentation are sought for the above and for other bioinformatics-related topics.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors are requested to conform to the following guidelines for submission of abstracts.

  • All abstracts and posters must be in English.
  • Abstracts should be submitted in one of the following formats:  MS Word (preferred), rtf (preferred) or plain ASCII text. 
  • Abstracts submitted in MS Word or rtf format should be written in Arial or Helvetica 12 point font and contain the title in all caps, followed by a blank line and the list of authors with the presenting author underlined and their affiliations. The authors list should use numeric superscripts to designate the affiliation of each of the authors if they come from different organisations.
  • The abstract should be separated from the heading by a single blank line and should be no longer than 300 words.  Bibliographies should not be included in the submission.
  • Abstracts should be submitted by email to Sonia Cattley (scattley@angis.org.au)
  • Abstracts sent by mail, or fax will not be accepted.
  • Please indicate your preference (oral, oral/poster, poster) and in the case of oral presentation, which session you wish to be considered for. 
  • Abstracts for all poster and talk presentations will be published in the Proceedings of the Conference.

All abstracts will be reviewed and authors of selected abstracts will be asked to present in either an oral or poster format. Notification of acceptance or rejection by the Local Scientific Committee will be mailed to the presenting author at the address given on the abstract by 9 October 2006
